The Mind of a Millionaire

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

For some people, there comes a time in their life when they decided that the life that they currently lead is not exactly as they want it. This moment of clarity can be triggered by a number of different things, such as losing a job, filing for divorce, becoming seriously ill or the death of someone close to you. For some people, they simply become tired of living the same mundane life and working unhappily at a job they hate.

The first step that you need to take toward developing the mind of a millionaire is to determine the root of your unhappiness. Many people find that loneness, lack of financial security and lack of motivation all play a major role in misery. You may have to search your soul to the very core to determine the trigger of your negativity. Once you know what is causing you to feel the way you do, you will be able to make the necessary changes and proceed on your way to creating wealth that you desire.

One of the biggest problems that people have is fear. Fear is an extremely difficult emotion to deal with and it can have a major impact on your life every day. Many people fear failure or emotional distress, while others are afraid that becoming successful will change the way people think of them or wealth will take over their lives. Feelings of fear can lead to anxiety and overpowering feelings of unworthiness and inadequacy.

If you plan to successfully create the wealth that you desire, you are going to have to face your fears. It takes courage to change your life, but everyone has what it takes to control their lives and use a positive, wealthy mindset to attract good things into their lives as soon as today.

Improve Your Financial Situation to Keep Money from Running Your Life

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

If you allow money to run your life, the quality of your life is decreased automatically. All too often, people all around the world in all walks of like let money stress them out to a point from which they feel they cannot recover. Many times, people tend to let the money that they have, or do not have for that matter, control their lives. Once you learn to take control of your money, you will have greater confidence and peace of mind.

Is Money Running Your Life?

Do you procrastinate when it comes to paying the bills, or always pay your bills late? Do you have a regular income, but feel that it is just not enough to survive if you do not make more money somehow? Do lose sleep or argue with your loved ones over money? Do you feel like there is no possible outlet to the financial situation you are in currently? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then there is a fairly good chance that you are letting money take the wheel in your life vehicle.

Once you take control of your money, you will find that you are actually spending less money than you earn. You will be able to pursue your financial goals, save money for the future or emergencies and finally be free from debt. You will be able to make financial decisions without worry or regret.

Take Control

In order to take control of your money and escape your current financial situation you need to be aware of exactly how much money you are earning each month and where it all goes. Examine your credit card debt and set a date when you expect to have it all paid and work consciously toward that goal. Increase the amount you save each month by three percent, even if you are not currently putting any money back for savings.

Taking control of your own financial situation is seldom as difficult as it appears at first glance. If you feel this simply is not a job that you are equipped to tackle on your own, several financial advisors are available online or locally to answer any questions you may have.

Why Are You Not Wealthy?

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

If you are not living with wealth that goes beyond anything you ever imagined, then there is most likely one particular reason you are not reaching that potential and creating the wealth successfully that you desire to be financially free. Once you are able to pinpoint the one thing that is keeping you from great wealth, you will be able to make the necessary changes and adaptations that you need to obtain extreme wealth.

The reason for not creating wealth successfully will vary from one person to the next. Someone else’s reason for not achieving great prosperity will be different from your reason, and your reason will differ from the next person’s reason and so forth and so on. Take a look at a few of the most common reasons that may be keeping you from great wealth.

Lack of Financial Intelligence

The lack of financial intelligence is one of the most common reasons that a lot of people are not as wealthy as they could be. It is possible to create wealth no matter how much money you currently earn if you are financially intelligent. Having financial intelligence means that you know how to make your money work for you.

Seeking Net Worth Instead of Cash Flow

In order to achieve financial freedom, you must be able to live without having to work. Then you will be able to spend your time making more money. However, people tend to focus too much on capital gains to increase net worth when they should be focusing on the flow of cash.

Not Enough Time

This is the number one reason that many people are not as wealthy as they should be. Even those people who are financially intelligent and seeking cash flow need time to accumulate and grow wealth. It is possible for anyone in any financial situation to become financially free in as little as five years.

It Is Easy to Make Money Online or Offline

Monday, October 26th, 2009

You hear so much about making money on the Internet these days. One of the best things about earning an income stream on the Internet is that it does away with all of the overhead costs that go along with working outside your own home.

However, you need to keep several things in mind to avoid being scammed. Remember that you should always be skeptical of any online moneymaking programs that ask you to pay for anything. The majority of the time, these are nothing more than scams. The people selling these programs are the only ones that benefit in these ventures.

For example, if you sell instruction on how to sign up to a website and you convince one thousand people to pay five dollars for the instructions, you will successfully make five thousand dollars. This is the reason many people are using this method to make money at the expense of others.

Become an Expert

One of the easiest ways to make money on the Internet is to establish yourself as an expert. Perhaps you are skilled at helping brides and expectant mothers set up their gift registry. This could be a way to earn extra cash in a hurry. As a guru, you can market your services not only on the Internet, but also in the local newspapers as well to make even more money offline.

Become a Web Designer

You can make fast money online by designing websites for other small businesses. The opportunities for this service are almost limitless. You can find work online at freelance sites, forums or advertising on your own site.

In addition to selling your web designing services on the Internet, you can also advertise locally to the businesses in your area. Keep in mind that if you are good at what you do, word of mouth is the best, and most cost efficient way to advertise.

Where Did She Go Wrong?

Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

“Stop us if this sounds familiar: A very lucky person wins the lottery and expects life to change for the better, but instead, things go horribly wrong.”

This is the entry line in this article at Yahoo’s ‘The Buzz‘ by Mike Krumboltz. I know that if you are a regular follower here at the Wealth Creation blog, that this will sound familiar to you, because it’s a major point of discussion; at least, the larger issue is, and that is that it takes more than just money to be wealthy.

Callie’s Riches To Rags Story

The ‘Buzz’ story is one out of the UK about a young girl who, at 16 years old, won the lottery to the tune of three million dollars. Now, just six short years later, she has only about the equivalent of $32,000 left, and nothing to show for it save for a grossly overpriced wardrobe and way too much partying, drugging, and cosmetic surgery behind her. What could have set this young girl up for life has become a tragedy to her, a nightmare that she now wishes never even happened. She says she truthfully wishes she never even won the lottery, and if she knew then what she knows now, she would have given the money back.

Sounds ludicrous from the outside, doesn’t it? Perhaps but it all goes to show that it takes so much more than money to be wealthy, happy, and financially free.

What If We All Were Wealth-Educated?

How different would this story be if we were all given the sort of financial education that we should have? The kind that could really serve us in life? How much better off would each and every one of us be if someone had stepped in years ago and taught us how to manage money and use it to build wealth and build a life?

If there are two things that we should learn from people like Callie, they are this:

1. It takes more than money to be wealthy; and
2. A good, early financial education can make all the difference in the world—so teach your children well (even as you learn yourself—it is never too late)!
