Making Your Money Work For You

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

All too often, there comes a point in our lives where we want to do something or make a purchase, but we just do not have the money to pay for it. Many people seem to always be running low on cash, which is why the pursuit of financial freedom is even more popular today than it was twenty years ago.

Even though we all try as hard as we can, some of us just cannot seem to get a rung up on the ladder of success. This is most likely because we have misplaced priorities. The big question that we all need to ask is “how can we break this cycle and build wealth?”

The Difference The Right Mindset Makes

When we were children, our parents and our teachers at school always tried to instill in us a wealth mindset. This mindset is what we tried to carry with us into adulthood, hoping that would lead us in the right direction to financial freedom.

Unfortunately, many people believe that the only way to earn an income is by having a steady job. The fact is that employment, even though it is important to a degree, has a tendency to restrict a person’s creativity and potential. Employment means that you work for another person. You do not have the option to increase your earnings; you have to work for your paycheck and maybe a little overtime every now and again. If you do not go to work, it is impossible to make any money.

Other people who have managed to keep a tighter grip on the wealth mindset they learned growing up. These are the people who focus on selling commodities and other avenues of wealth creation. With the right mindset, you can move past the point where you are working for your money and your money begins to work for you.

Developing The Right Mindset

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

In order to create wealth effectively, you must have the right mindset. You have to have a wealth mindset. To develop the mindset that will lead you to financial freedom, you must learn how to control your emotions.

The Oxford English Dictionary describes Neuro-linguistic programming, or NLP, as “a model of interpersonal communication chiefly concerned with the relationship between successful patterns of behavior and the subjective experiences (esp. patterns of thought) underlying them”. This quick-change technology has opened the doors for a number of revolutionary processes that all steer your mind in direction of the most positive choices.

Often, when we are faced with too many options, we risk losing focus. Therefore, you only need to familiarize yourself with the basic and most effective techniques in each Neuro-linguistic programming category in the beginning. You have the option of learning more advanced techniques as you go along.

Avoid the one-size-fits-all frame of mind, because the same technique may work perfectly for one person, but have no effect at all for the next person. Take the time to find the technique that works the best for you and master it.

Choosing Your Technique

The simplest way to determine which mindset technique is the right one for you is to explore the various options. It will only take you a few hours, and once you master the ability to control your emotions in a matter of minutes, you will see that it was all worth it.

Browse through the many different techniques for developing a wealth mindset and select the one that interests you the most. When you perform it, you will be able to obtain a sense of how well it works for you. Commit to the technique that suits you best and practice it daily if you can, but at least once every week for a minimum of four weeks, until it becomes a habit.

When Wealth Really Comes

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

In his book, Napoleon Hill did not leave us dangling and not explaining his previous quote (of yesterday’s post). The man was always careful to offer a full explanation.

When Wealth Arrives

“Wealth, when it comes in huge quantities, is never the result of hard work! Wealth comes, if at all, in response to definite demands, based on the application of definite principles, and not by chance or luck.”

If I could teach you one thing about building wealth (in addition to the vital importance of the wealth mindset), it would probably be what is encompassed in that sentence. While I am all for people being self made, and while action is required of each and every one of us in order to build wealth, it is important to understand that it takes so much more than just working hard to get anywhere. You have to focus that hard work and effort in ways that can create wealth, and also mold your efforts with the principles that create wealth—the principles that are common to all wealthy people, the guidebook by which wealthy people operate and build wealth (the principles that you’ll find in Hill’s Mindset Mastery book).

To build wealth and achieve financial freedom you cannot leave your life to chance or some stroke of luck. So do what I did; stop buying up lottery tickets and hoping to strike it big, and instead put your energy into believing in yourself. Demand that life give you wealth. Learn and apply the principles for building wealth. Work hard if you like to, but accompany that work with effective planning and actions, and positive mindset. We waste a lot of our mental and physical energy in ineffective methods of obtaining money—many that were always next to hopeless. Free your energy and direct it toward wealth, and it will certainly follow.

Don’t Let Life Just Happen

Friday, July 10th, 2009

There is one thing I see time and again that makes my spirits fall. It is people who simply float along to the current of life, wherever it pulls them, and do not actively participate in it. Sadly, these are often the people who are discontented with their lives, and who cannot understand why they never get ahead.

Wealth Doesn’t Just Happen

19377997It is very important to understand that wealth does not just happen—not for anyone. Wealth creation is very much something that you have to be active in. You need to take an active role in all aspects of your life before you can build wealth.

Some might argue that for some people wealth does just happen. For instance, for those who are gifted money or property or who inherit great assets, or maybe even those who win the lottery. Still, I would argue that even for these people wealth requires active participation and a plan—not merely letting life happen. In fact, those who do not take an active role in their wealth management lose it very quickly—by many accounts, within as little as 5 years, and the statistics may be as high as 90%.

The point is that if you think you cannot be wealthy because you have no advantages going for you, you are dead wrong. What you need far more than a big lump sum of money is the ability to manage it and grow it. You need a wealth creation education. You need the attitude and mindset to not only have money, but to be wealthy. Those terms are not synonymous, and you can certainly have one without the other. However, if you do not have the wealth mindset, you cannot have money for very long, at least not in substantial enough amounts to create the life and financial freedom that you desire.

Have What The Wealthy Have

Sunday, April 5th, 2009

The have is the last part of [Name Withheld]‘s Be, Do, Have strategy. This is the pinnacle for wealth-creators. It’s what we’ve all been striving for…we think.

The True Target

What we’ve really been striving for all along is to be wealthy. As we learned yesterday and through [Name Withheld] video, you can be wealthy right now, because it is a mindset, not a number. If you ever want to Focus on Wealthreally have the money and things that you formerly thought made you wealthy, you need to develop that mindset first. You know what comes next from there—you’ll do what needs doing, take wealthy actions, and then have whatever it is you want as a result of those actions that were taken by a wealthy person.

Look At The Advantages!

The upside to this, besides having a real strategy for wealth creation that actually gets you there, is that you can stop feeling like you are not wealthy or somehow unworthy. Ever person is a worthy, wealthy person! You can choose to feel good about your position right now, and know that it only gets better from here.

Live The Be, Do, Have Way Of Life

When you start living the concept of Be, Do, Have, you start seeing immediate results. You’ll be amazed at what a difference just that simple shift in mindset makes. The small adjustment—which, let’s face it, takes nothing out of you at all—to viewing yourself as a wealthy person suddenly opens the door to so much more. You begin to feel better about yourself and your position, you start acting effectively, and you start enjoying the things and money that you have, a list of “haves” that grows by the day right alongside your wealth and new freer lifestyle!
