Skipping Rungs On The Wealth Creation Ladder

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

We’ve established that there is no reason to start at the bottom with wealth creation—that with a little effort, you can hoist yourself years ahead and cut years off your journey to wealth. Let’s talk a little bit more about how that can be done.

Bottoms Up

To start at the bottom of the wealth creation ladder would be silly with all the excellent resources that you have at hand. You see, building wealth has been a goal of man for centuries; this is not a new concept, and many have walked in your shoes before. Not all have walked far enough, in fact most have not, but enough have so that we are able to enjoy these resources today.

limits-ladderThese resources are what enables you to jump ahead and achieve personal prosperity and financial freedom faster and easier. Many of those who have walked before, many of the most successful, intelligent, and insightful wealth creators, have developed resources that will speed and guide your process—forget trial and error, forget struggling and guessing.

Early Wealth Resources

I suppose wealth development resources probably reach back for many hundreds of years, but the concept really started taking shape during the 1800′s with timeless classics like Wallace Wattles’ The Science of Getting Rich (which you might know better as The Secret or The Secret Law of Attraction). Napoleon Hill’s wealth and empowerment classic, Think and Grow Rich (available free for download from me in the updated version, Mindset Mastery) was not far behind. Both of these early resources are timeless, capturing the very basics of wealth creation—the mindset, attitude, and more that never changes as a basic need for creating wealth.

After these two came many great modern writers who you will recognize; names like Robert Kiyosaki, Anthony Robbins, [Name Withheld] and others (see a more complete list of my favorites in my life’s story on my SeanRasmussen.com blog). In addition, many of these wealth experts have developed courses and step-by-step strategies for investment and wealth creation, which will propel you decades forward into the future without having to reinvent the wheel.

So you see, creating wealth is not nearly as complex as you think it is. Make some of these guys your evening reading, dedicate your energy to establishing real wealth for yourself, and jump ahead of the pack just by knowing where the good resources are.

Create Wealth: You Wouldn’t Be The First

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

The prospect of creating wealth is empowering. Just knowing that you have the real capability of becoming rich and financially free gives you that “on top of the world” feeling that you are setting off in unchartered territory. In a lot of ways that will be true—no one else will pursue wealth in just the way that you do; but in reality, you are far from being the first person to build wealth, or go from “rags to riches” as the saying goes.

A History Of Success

We’ve seen real wealth success stories all through the ages. The concept of developing the millionaire mindset or succeeding simply through thought and attitude is not new. Historic writers like Napoleon Hill (from whom came success-lineMindset Mastery) and Wallace Wattles (the man who gave us the Secret Law of Attraction) are historic proof of rags to riches success, and there have been many others, myself included, who have become self-made wealth-builders. Across all nations and times, regular people have made it big and enjoyed the financially free life that most people think is just a dream.

Why Burst Your Bubble?

So why do I burst your bubble with this knowledge? Why not let you feel like the conqueror of the world? (Which you still are, by the way) Only for this reason: to give you the support to know that it is indeed possible for a regular guy or girl like you to set your mind to wealth and success and achieve it. To prove to you that this is not at all an exercise in futility, and that you can certainly achieve the same prosperity as any other on the face of this earth.

Still A Minority

You may not be the first, but you are still one of a select group. That is the select group of regular people who have the courage and determination to know that they can succeed and be wealthy, and then go after it. You should be very proud of yourself for that fact, and give yourself a hug pat on your back. Take comfort in knowing that wealth and prosperity is attainable, that the path is there for you to follow, and be proud that you care enough about yourself to follow it!

Showing Up Is Half The Battle!

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Motivation is key in wealth creation success. To achieve financial prosperity, you have to take a series of wealthy actions. It’s a process that progresses over time, and one that requires ongoing motivation to stay committed, continue acting, and continue to achieve all your wealth goals. That is why so many posts here are devoted to motivating you and helping you stay the course to financial prosperity (which is, in reality, life prosperity—wealth is your key to freedom and a fulfilling life!).

Life In The Real World

Real Life InspirationAll of this being said, in the real world you will have days when you are less motivated to take those wealthy actions; you may be feeling overwhelmed, or discouraged by a perceived lack of progress, or just plain tired. On those days, it helps if you can make just the small commitment to sit down and attend to what needs doing—to some small action that can get the ball started.

Most of the time showing up is half the battle. If you can get yourself that far, and break out of that rut you’ve been left in, then you will be motivated to keep moving and keep acting and keep on achieving.

Action Begets Action

Just as money is attracted to money, wealth attracted to wealth, and positivity attracted to positivity (yes, we’re talking the Secret Law of Attraction here), action attracts more action. Once you get started it is so much easier to keep going. It probably will not even feel like the chore you thought it would be, and you’ll probably be intrinsically motivated to continue on.

And so, for those times when inspiration and motivation is just a little harder to come by, commit to just showing up and doing something. That simple dedication and action will get you the start you need for the days when that motivation is just a little harder to come by. Soon enough, all that dedication will add up to be a very considerable force of wealth creation and achieved success.

Living Your Passion And Making Money Doing It!

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Living your passion really is an integral part of being successful and creating wealth. Real wealth creation is all about being true to yourself, and prioritizing you. As we’ve discussed in past posts, this doesn’t make you a selfish person (as is the fear that a lot of people have), but simply enables you to make the best of yourself, so that you can give your best to others.

As we talked about last time, what becomes difficult for people is that they feel they need to make a choice between living their passion and making money. It feels like an either/or proposition, when it really should be a winning combination. Find a way to live your passion AND make money at the same time—doing that, you’ll have an unstoppable wealth-creating powerhouse!

Unlimited Possibilities For Passion And Wealth

This is the point where people start saying, “Sure, easy enough to say. But can it really be done?!”

It can. However, it takes work to get it there. Another elemental factor is developing the mindset, positivity, and confidence to know that it is possible to combine both wealth and passion. That in itself will set you well on your way to harnessing the secret Law of Attraction, building positivity upon positivity, and wealth upon wealth. But to put it in even more solid terms (because I know as humans we need that proof!), let’s take a look at a few possibilities.

Modern Technology Makes Combination Easy

The wonder that is the Internet has made simple work of combining passion and profitability. No matter what your passion is, what your goal is, what your dream career or lifestyle is, there is someone else (many someone elses) who share that passion. The Internet is buzzing every day with people searching for information and products for their passions and interests. So even if your primary passion is not necessarily a big “money maker” in and of itself, you can pair that passion with a secondary service—such as marketing goods and products, affiliating with support services and companies, or simply being an informational resource (which you then use a monetization method to support, such as advertising, sponsorships, leads, etc.). What we’re talking here is internet marketing, primarily.

This is really only one example of how you can both make money and live your passion. It is not, by far, the only opportunity. But it does stand as proof that the possibilities are out there, along with countless others. What you are sure to find, though, is that no matter what route you take to turn your passion into a money-maker, when you are true to your passion, and commit to taking action and living genuinely, the rest will start to fall into place.
