Cut Your Bills to Create Wealth

Sunday, February 13th, 2011

Is the current state of the global economy affecting you? If so, then you need to take the time to focus on the many ways you can turn yourself from poverty-stricken commoner to wealthy money expert. When you find yourself living in troubled times such as these, it is important to mind every penny and dime, ensuring it all goes toward something of value.

The best way to accomplish this is to put all of your monthly or weekly expenses in writing, whichever is most desirable and convenient for you. If you keep a record of your expenses, you will be able to see exactly how much of your income you are spending on things that you do not need, or in some cases, even want. With this knowledge, you will be able to create some kind of balance by eliminating anything that is not necessary.

The first place you can look to save money is with the bills that you pay. Bills come in a number of different shapes and sizes and can be detrimental to your income. It is important to look for ways to keep these bills down to a minimal level if at all possible. If you play your card right, you may find a great deal of money you never knew you had.

Electricity bills are first on the list because many people all around the world rely on electrical appliances. However, you may not need all of the energy-sucking appliances that you currently have all over you home running up your power bill each and every month.

Make it a point to turn off all the lights in any room you are not actively using. In addition, you can also save a great deal of money by unplugging your appliances when you are not using them. It may sound like a small thing, but it can save you big bucks.

Build a Better Budget

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

Wealth creation is not just about the money that you make, it is also about the money that you save. When you get started with your plan to create wealth, the key is to find money and get it coming to you. However, many people do not realize how much money they already have because they do not have a proper budget.

Before you get started on your quest to make millions, you need to balance your budget. Without an efficient budget, you risk losing the money that you earn due to bad choices and misspent funds.

First, you need to take the time to sit down with a pen and paper to analyze the money that you have now. Start by making a list of all of the monthly income that you have coming to you from your current job, pension plan, settlement, tips, commission, wherever. This will give you an idea of what you have to work with every month.

Next, make a list of all of your monthly expenses. It is important that you be honest with your list. This means that not only do you have to write down your power bill, phone bill and cable bill, but you also have to include fast food, coffee breaks and all your vices. If you fail to include every expense, no matter how great or small, you are only hurting yourself. Not to mention your budget plan may fail.

Finally, look over your expenses and put them in order from the most important to the things you can probably live without just fine. The top of your list should be utility bills, groceries and anything you need to survive. The bottom of your list should be things like your morning doughnut or afternoon smoothie.

Once you have your priorities straight, you can start finding ways to eliminate or reduce all of the items on your expense list and build wealth. Often times, you can call your phone company or cable company and they will evaluate your account and offer suggestions that can save you money. You can save money on groceries and household items by shopping around or clipping coupons. In addition, you can save money on gas by walking, riding a bike or carpooling whenever possible.

Become a Coupon Clipper

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Using coupons is one of the best ways to save money, and everyone knows that saving money is the first step toward creating wealth. When you are able to save money and create wealth, you are able to provide a better way of life for you and your loved ones.

It does take a little time and effort to use coupons, and some people are even embarrassed by the act. However, there is really nothing at all to be ashamed about because the amount of money that you save is astounding. Just think about all the time and effort that you put towards earning your money and a little more to hold on to it does not sound all that bad.

The money that you save by using coupons can be put to many more uses that will bring you great happiness. When you use coupons, you will have more money to spend on the things that you enjoy the most such as vacations, fancy restaurants and designer clothes.

In the past, if you wanted to collect coupons, you had to collect newspapers, flyers, magazines, etc. That is no longer the case today. Now, coupons are available electronically through emails and web links. More often than not, when you make a purchase online, especially with major companies, you will receive an email with a coupon for your next purchase.

Go to your favorite search engine and type in “online coupons” to find a great number of coupon codes that you can use for your online purchases. You can find coupons for everything from free shipping to up to 75% off purchases. You will be able to get coupon codes for department stores, travel sites, online bookstores and much, much more.

Another great way to find savings is by searching the terms “free samples”. You will find a number of websites that have free samples of their product available for you to try. Some may ask that you come back and fill out a survey after you receive your sample, but that is rarely mandatory. Generally, when your free sample arrives, the package will also contain one or more coupons for the product you have chosen to sample.

With a little time to research your options when it comes to using coupons, you will be able to learn ways to save more money than you have ever imagined.
