Pick Your Passion

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Continuing on in our discussions to help you live your passion, build wealth, and live the most genuine life possible, we need to talk about how to realize those passions.

Now that you have committed to living life according to your passions and interests, you need to become really clear as to what that life is. I don’t think 300 or 400 words are enough to really cover this topic in the depth it needs to be considered, but it is enough to start and to point you towards some resources that will help you along further.

Visualize Your Best Self

Many of us, unless you’ve been through this process already, are very much out of touch with what our true selves are. We have lost our way and become so miserably distracted and disconnected from our passions that we no longer remember what those are. So the first step requires us to get back to our true selves, and find out what it really is that we live for, what motivates us.

The obvious answers here will probably begin with family and relations, love, friendship, and so on. That’s wonderful, and that may be one of the interests that you are trying to serve through your wealth and passions, but it’s not the whole of it. All of us are more than the people we love; if we weren’t, there would be none of “us” to love.

To begin getting back to your true self, start with some brainstorming and visualization (it always seems to come to this, doesn’t it? Because it’s so effective!). What you want to do is start getting it all out of your head, and onto paper (or computer if that works better), where you can actually see your future taking shape. This helps clear your head tremendously, and start sorting through the noise to the real things that matter to you.

Once you have narrowed down your list, start going through it and visualizing the life you want to achieve. Make that vision as clear and real as you can. That will help you to start to understand what underlies that life, and where your passions lie.

A Passionate Beginning

Of course this is a very fast run-down, and just a start, but in order to live your true, passionate life and find whole-life wealth, you need to start being and believing in your life. To do that you have to know what that life is.

There are a lot of most excellent resources that will help you do this, many that you can access on my wealth creation site and at my personal blog (on the blog, start off with the [Name Withheld] videos—they’ll be sure to give you some excellent perspective and tools to find and start living your passions). Living your true life is a most exciting adventure, and I do sincerely hope that you come to know just how great a life this can be!

Living Your Passion And Making Money Doing It!

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Living your passion really is an integral part of being successful and creating wealth. Real wealth creation is all about being true to yourself, and prioritizing you. As we’ve discussed in past posts, this doesn’t make you a selfish person (as is the fear that a lot of people have), but simply enables you to make the best of yourself, so that you can give your best to others.

As we talked about last time, what becomes difficult for people is that they feel they need to make a choice between living their passion and making money. It feels like an either/or proposition, when it really should be a winning combination. Find a way to live your passion AND make money at the same time—doing that, you’ll have an unstoppable wealth-creating powerhouse!

Unlimited Possibilities For Passion And Wealth

This is the point where people start saying, “Sure, easy enough to say. But can it really be done?!”

It can. However, it takes work to get it there. Another elemental factor is developing the mindset, positivity, and confidence to know that it is possible to combine both wealth and passion. That in itself will set you well on your way to harnessing the secret Law of Attraction, building positivity upon positivity, and wealth upon wealth. But to put it in even more solid terms (because I know as humans we need that proof!), let’s take a look at a few possibilities.

Modern Technology Makes Combination Easy

The wonder that is the Internet has made simple work of combining passion and profitability. No matter what your passion is, what your goal is, what your dream career or lifestyle is, there is someone else (many someone elses) who share that passion. The Internet is buzzing every day with people searching for information and products for their passions and interests. So even if your primary passion is not necessarily a big “money maker” in and of itself, you can pair that passion with a secondary service—such as marketing goods and products, affiliating with support services and companies, or simply being an informational resource (which you then use a monetization method to support, such as advertising, sponsorships, leads, etc.). What we’re talking here is internet marketing, primarily.

This is really only one example of how you can both make money and live your passion. It is not, by far, the only opportunity. But it does stand as proof that the possibilities are out there, along with countless others. What you are sure to find, though, is that no matter what route you take to turn your passion into a money-maker, when you are true to your passion, and commit to taking action and living genuinely, the rest will start to fall into place.

Only You Can Limit Your Options

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Your life is no accident; we’ve clarified that now. Your life is an actionable path that can take you wherever you guide it. Now that you know that, you should feel empowered and in control of your future financial security and wealth development. You should also feel excited—because along with guidance comes choices, and choices mean options—very exciting ones if you let them be!

Real Life Options

Among the biggest hold-backs for people is that they do not pursue their passions and live their true lives. They are not true to themselves, and so often their efforts will be uninspired and minimally effective. One of the reasons that happens is that people think that life comes down to a choice between one of two things: passion or money.

Think about this. How many people are stuck in dead-end jobs, or running the treadmill that is life’s rat race, because they need to make money? How many people sit day in and day out, waiting for the clock to strike so they can go home, have a few hours of freedom, and pursue their real passions, at least until it is time to get up and do it all over again? A great many people are doing just this, making a choice to make money instead of living their passion.

To be clear, I do not dispute the fact that you need to make money in order to live freely. Money is the tool of the modern age—it’s what allows you the freedom to live your life and passions. BUT you do not have to choose between the two. There are many ways to combine these efforts. When you do, you find that you are a twice-empowered person who is motivated and inspired to succeed.

Passion Or Money Is Not The Question

Too many people live life thinking that they have to decide between one or the other, passion or money. The best life is not a choice between these two at all, but a combination of it.

In future posts we’ll explore this further and look at some ways that passion and money can work in tandem. Until then, consider that your life is not a compromise, and start thinking of how you can build wealth by building the strongest foundation upon these two.
