Use Your Passion to Create Wealth

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Holding down a job to make ends meet is one thing, but finding your passion and learning how to turn it into a positive stream of income is an entirely different ballgame. As children, we are all taught that working at a job is not supposed to be enjoyable, but must be done in order to pay the bills and put food on the table. Many people are letting go of their dreams and desires in order to find a practical and sensible way to support their families.

Thinking this way may have been fine in the past, but times they are a changing and we no longer have to work nine to five, six days a week to provide for the ones that we love. Nowadays, more and more people are discovering that they can actually use their passion and make a profit. People are starting to determine their own fates by creating the wealth that they desire.

The best thing about earning an income from your passion is that there is no age limit, tests to pass, background checks or special requirements. No matter how young or old you are, making money doing what you love is possible.

Pursuing Passion

In order to earn an income from your passion you must first determine what that passion is by making a list of all of the things that you like to do, such as baking, gardening, web design, woodworking or a number of other activities that you can turn into a stream of income. If you are not sure of the things that bring you the most pleasure, take the time to explore new activities that you have always wanted to try. Getting out into the world is the only way to determine what solutions you can provide.

Once you narrow you list down to the one thing that you enjoy and want to use to make a profit, it is time for research. Learn as much as you can about your passion. The more you understand about the things that you love, the more capable you will be at using your passion to create wealth.

The Circle Of Your Life

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

This post goes out to all of you who find it difficult to break out of the cycle of life that you are currently in and commit to wealth creation or a different course of life; in short, anyone who can’t quite bring themselves to live their dreams.

Truth In Self

We talked many times about pursuing your passion and living true to yourself, and not worrying about what others 19099050think. We’ve even talked about some ways that you can make money with your passions. Today what I’m talking about is the circle that is your life and what happens when you deny those passions and continually squelch that part of yourself that wants to pursue them full-bore.

What happens when you do this is you deny your true self. And the whole point of wealth creation is that you should be working toward the truest and most free life that you can achieve. When you deny your true self you cut off one of the best tools that you could possibly have working for you—your own desires and passions; suddenly every effort you do make is a struggle, and it feels as if you are fighting an uphill battle and trading money for your best living—essentially, prostituting yourself just to make money. And that is not what wealth creation is about. Creating wealth is empowerment, and that is entirely opposite to that.

Denial Of True Self

The other thing that you find if this is the way that you are living is that you are never settled in mind, and that kind of internal anguish again depletes your wealth resources. If you think about it, no matter how many times you have talked yourself out of it, you come back to your passions and the want only continues to grow.

It’s not that you can’t make money if you do not live your passions, because surely people do it in the corporate world and working rat race every single day. But you cannot live your best life this way, and you certainly deserve to. Nor can you maximize your efforts at building wealth until you find a way to satisfy all of your being. The possibilities are there, and you’ll find that building personal prosperity comes much easier and faster when you fit this piece of the puzzle together.

Broke Now? Beautiful!

Monday, May 18th, 2009

It’s not that often that you hear me celebrating being broke. This is, after all, a wealth creation blog that is all about personal empowerment and success—achieving your dreams and living financially free! Not too many of us are dreaming of a life of financial stress and need (although that is the reality for the vast, vast majority of the world!!). So why would I say a thing like that? It’s beautiful to be broke now?

Passionate Positivity

If there is one thing I have personally become known for, it’s living a life of passion and positivity. I find positivity in everything I can. Which still does not explain why I’d be so hyped about people being broke, when I really want to see them prospering and living their best life ever. So I’ll explain.

Better Places To Go

empty-pocketsThere is positivity to be found in your life in any stage you happen to be in. There is something of positive value there, whether you think so or not. If you are broke or near broke now, or even bringing in money and just struggling and stressed, there are advantages here.

First of all, as the saying goes, you only have one place to go when you are at the bottom—up! You are right now proving to yourself each and every day that you are a survivor. If you can do this, you can do anything! You’re strong and you don’t quit. You’ve got everything it takes to be a raging financial success!

Coming a little more down to earth, though, consider this: If you are now living on “less” you have fewer financial obligations. That means that you can start right now with some small investment or wealth creation strategy, grow it, and put it to work for you again. Because you are surviving on less you have more potential free money. You have learned to manage under the worst of circumstances, so anything that comes to you now can really be put to good work for you. Even a little can turn into a lot!

All of us travel from one point in our lives to another. Being down now is no indication of your future—not if you take that future firmly in hand and realize its potential. Capitalize on the positive in your life now, and enjoy your wealth as it grows!

What Pulls You From The Depths Of Discouragement?

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

After the last couple of posts, I hope that I’ve fired you up and gotten you excited about living a life of passion and wealth. I hope that I’ve got you believing in the reality of how possible it is to do just that—and how much more wonderful a life it can be to be living true to yourself. I do know, however, how human nature has a tendency to take over, and how quickly enthusiasm and motivation can turn into feelings of discouragement when you don’t see instant results. So along with giving you the tools and resources to get jump started to holistic wealth, I also try to give you tools that will help you maintain your focus and stay on the path to success and financial freedom.

A Simple Cure For Being Discouraged

There is a simple cure for this problem of being discouraged. If you know me, or have followed along on this or another of my blogs for any amount of time, you will not be surprised to find me saying that the simple solution to overcoming discouragement is mindset; a positive mindset of success, confidence, and motivation; in short, the millionaire’s mindset.

All it takes to get you through those times when your confidence dips is to know that these periods are temporary—and that they’re not a real reflection of what is happening anyway. Discouragement is just another emotion. If you let it become big and overwhelm your efforts it will, but if you can take confidence in the knowledge that it is a temporary emotional state, and know that all the plans and actions you have taken are still working for you, it will be gone before you know it and you will find that whilst you were away, your initiatives continued to gain momentum.

What we’re talking about here in a large sense is faith—the faith to know that you are on your way to wealth and success, and that no temporary low mood can derail that. Faith is a big topic of our Mindset Mastery series on my SeanRasmussen.com blog, so I encourage you to join us there and also to download the Mindset Mastery book. It will work wonders to help you fight off periods of temporary discouragement, and to stay the course to a whole, passionate life of wealth and success.
