From Nothing to Recession-Proof Millionaire

Friday, November 27th, 2009

The global economy is by no means stable; in fact, it seems to be somewhat in shambles. Hard-working, honest individuals are falling victim to the economic meltdown and feeling they lack the power to stop such a downturn.

While the economic events of recent years have left many people in dire financial situations, it is possible for anyone to take the necessary action and fix their present circumstances. It may take a considerable amount of time, motivation and perseverance to be successful, but it beats unemployment and despair.

The concept is not a new one, but one that may have been pushed to the back of your mind where you are unable to see its true potential, especially if you happen to be unemployed or focused on financial independence. The idea is simple, so simple in fact, that it is possible for anyone to do it.

How It Works

You are probably scratching you head now and wondering how it is possible for anyone to start with nothing, but go on to achieve financial freedom with great success. It is actually quite simple. If you start out with a single penny, you would have to double your money less than thirty times to have more than a million dollars.

Doubling your money may not come with a single step; you may have to make a few transactions before you reach that point. However, you will all the while be concentrating on opportunity. The incredible thing is that the more you think about how you are going to double your money, the more opportunities seem to come up to the surface.

Start building wealth today by challenging yourself to create a million dollars from the nothing that you have. Walk around the mall or a couple of parking lots and you are sure to find a dollar or two that someone has dropped. Take the money you find and double it; then, double that money and so it goes until you are sitting pretty with a million dollars in your pocket.

Realistic Expectations

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Until just a few years ago, wealth creation on the Internet was sort of an abstract concept. Several people worked hard to learn the best ways to gain financial freedom by using the Internet, but many had a hard time finding a way to be successful. The fact is that anyone can use the Internet to create wealth, but the key is to focus on actual opportunities and realistic expectations.

Ignore The Hype

One of the greatest hurdles that must be overcome by individuals who wish to build wealth is making it through the many scams, hype and false claims. A rule of thumb to remember is that if you have to pay for the opportunity upfront, then it is most likely not a legitimate way to create wealth successfully.

One solution is to take matters into your own hands and create your own venture. If you do not what to take the reins alone, then search the Internet for a reputable company that has a strong web presence. Keep an eye out for testimonials and other reviews from people who have dealt with that particular company. If an opportunity seems too good to be true, it would be safe to assume that it is not legit.

Avoid Expecting Too Much

If you are going to find a wealth creation opportunity that works well, then you must understand the diligence that is required of you. If you expect to become a millionaire overnight, then you are sure to be disappointed. However, if you realize the creating online wealth is just like any other entrepreneurial opportunity and that it takes time to see results, you will be able to better enjoy such ventures.

Think of creating wealth on the Internet as starting a business. It takes a lot of initiative, hard work, patience and ideas to really succeed. Legitimate opportunities on the Internet often provide a significant income for those willing to make the effort.

On Limitations And Acknowledgment

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Some of you also follow along on my personal blog at SeanRasmussen.com. If you do, you probably are familiar with the Mindset Mastery series. For those of you who are not familiar with this series, this is a series of posts where we work our way through my updated version of the Napoleon Hill classic, Think and Grow Rich (I’ve edited and revised the book so as to make it more applicable to modern life, and offer it as a freed download with the newly revised named, Mindset Mastery).

While working up some posts for the Mindset Mastery series, I came across a couple of quotes by Napoleon Hill which inspired me for posts here on the Wealth Creation Blog. Not really a surprise, so much of Hill’s book is quote-worthy, but these two especially stood out as excellent stand-alone morsels of advice. I’ll dish up one of them for you today.

Only You Limit Your Mind

“There are no limitations to the mind except those we acknowledge.”

Limitless MindThink about this. As humans we are constantly thinking about what limitations are set upon us; about what factors may make or break something as a possibility or opportunity. It is our perceived limitations that cause us the greatest anguish in wealth creation. What we’ve learned through our studies and discussion here, from all the greats of wealth creation, is that those limitations are almost always just perception, and are hardly ever really reality.

With this quote Napoleon Hill takes this a step further—with our minds freed, we can do and accomplish anything we set out to do. Limitation is not an excuse because the limits of our minds are only set by our own acknowledgment—what we decide are or are not limits for us. We can just as easily choose not to limit our minds—to develop a confidence in our own abilities, and to shun those who would tell us that our hopes, dreams, plans, and wealth are not possible.

If you can learn to drown out the negativity and noise, you can look inward and put your energy into your own mind and opportunities. In all of life, you choose what your beliefs will be. Choose you! Choose to not limit your mind, and you can think your way to prosperity and financial freedom.

Join me again tomorrow and I’ll bring you another pearl from Mr. Napoleon Hill.

Where Is Your Opportunity?

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

We know now that opportunity is out there, despite the news reports. The question, then, is where is yours? And what will be your plan to go after it?

Capitalise Opportunity

It may seem like all the economic news is bad, but realistically things are not as bad as they seem. The day to day living of most people is much better than what you might make it out to be. For many, adjusting in the new economic climate is a matter of change—of looking for new ways to earn, make money, and indeed, build wealth. You would be much better served reading up on the changing face of the economy and the new world order rather than focusing on the bad news that is headlining (remember—there’s always bad news if you choose to focus on it!). Of course, my intent is not at all to belittle the struggles faced by people caught up in the many global economic crises, but to help you shed some positive, realistic light on the situation—and to help you if you are one of them!

As people adjust, they begin to change their ways and habits. But they still have needs. That opens up a lot of different types of opportunity. There are the more obvious opportunities of investing and stock markets and the opportunity to buy low. Real estate is an area of particular opportunity for those ready to jump, with the possibility of property options investing opening up even more opportunities. And, as people begin to change their lives, they begin to look for ways to do it—which makes online business and the possibilities for info-preneurs even greater.

Times Never Better

This is a just a list of a few rambling opportunities that are out there. The point is, things are changing, and the time might never be better for you take stock and make an action plan for building wealth and achieving financial freedom. If there is one thing to learn from the lessons of others, it is that you can rely far more on yourself than any employer. With the innumerable opportunities that are opening up, it’s time to get your wealth mindset together, and take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity.

The Courage To Command

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

It’s tough to stay positive and think of opportunities when you hear the news these days, but nevertheless opportunity is out there. There really is opportunity in all situations and this might just be the ideal time for you to pursue it.

Tough Times, Big Potential

One of the best things about being down is that there is only one place to go—up! This often gives people Golden Wealththe courage to try things they’ve been putting off for years and really start chasing their dreams. It’s too bad it takes so much adversity to give us that boost, but if it gets you there believing in yourself and willing to meet the challenges head-on, then great!

The reason this happens is because when we are living in a state of security (or perceived security, more accurately), like having a steady job and paycheque, even if we hate what we are doing and are letting it limit our lives, we are more likely to stay there—even if that means giving up financial freedom (translating into personal freedom). With the safety net gone and nothing to lose, we’re more willing to pursue our dreams and the life we’ve wanted all along.

The Irony Of Misfortune

It’s ironic that what feels like misfortune at the time may be the very one thing that actually opens our hearts and minds to progress and financial freedom. It’s funny that we are more likely to feel that prosperity is possible when we’ve just lost all the “security” that we’ve had. But this is what is happening for scores of people all over the world as the economic climate continues to weather its storms. My sincere hope is that the troubles of many have been far away from your door, but I know that is not the case for everyone. Either way, look at the news of today in a new light—not in the light of depression and struggle, but in the light of opportunity and impending triumph. Let this be your time to command life on your terms!
