Do You Have Millionaire Potential?

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Year after year, more and more people are becoming millionaires while countless others continue to struggle to make ends meet. The majority of the time, the difference between these two groups is whether you have millionaire potential.

Many may think that this is an oversimplified response to a complicated question. The truth is that one of the most powerful wealth creation tools is the right mindset. If you have a millionaire mindset, instead of the same mindset of the average consumer, you have millionaire potential.

Having What It Takes

The most important thing to remember about building wealth is that anyone can do it. If you have the right attitude, discipline and are willing to do what it takes to create wealth, you have millionaire potential.

The first step to millionaire potential is to have a set of specific goals and a plan to work toward reaching those goals. Even if your goal is nothing more than to save money to have more money, if you are aware of your financial situation and have plan, you will be able to achieve your goal.

You need to be able to identify the difference between bad debt and good debt. For example, one person may save up and invest thousands of dollars in a new car, while others put the same amount of money into an investment property. The value of the car will depreciate over time, while the investment property will make more money quickly, or continue to make money year after year as a rental property.

Budgeting is important to the success of anyone hoping to earn a substantial income. All too often people spend more than they make, continuing to get deeper and deeper in debt. Take the time to make a list of all of your income for one month. Next, make a list of everything you spend money on each month. More than likely, you will find there are a few places you could cut back and invest more wisely.

Insider Secrets To Online Wealth Creation

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Many have tried to earn substantial income by taking advantage of the huge opportunity for wealth creation that is presented by the Internet. Some seeking financial freedom are instantly successful, while others seem to never get off the ground. So what is the secret to successful online wealth creation?

We have all seen the ads that feature individuals who claim to be earning thousands of dollars as they sleep. The problem is that these gurus fail to tell you exactly how they made their fortune, or even how great that fortune is. The reason is that you are looking at it. The wealth creation gurus that you see on the Internet and television every day are not making millions by stuffing envelopes; they are making money by selling you their get-rich-quick program.

It Is All In Your Mind

Just like any other wealth creation technique, you have to have the right frame of mind if you intend to achieve great success. Not everyone is born with a millionaire mindset, but if you want to create wealth, you must be willing to think outside of the box and away from the norm. The Internet is a vastly competitive arena and if you plan to take a piece of that cake, you are going to have to learn to make your own icing.
Breaking your back for an employer day in and day out will not give you the satisfaction or the revenue that you could gain by creating your own wealth. Look yourself in the mirror and say, “this stops now” and climb off the hamster wheel.

Know Your Strengths

Think about your current job. Most likely, if you were doing what you love, you would not be turning to the Internet for a way out of it. However, you can take what you know and use it to generate your own substantial income. Think about the skills you already have and how you can build on those skills to effectively create wealth on the Internet.

The Real Magic Pill

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

We’d all love a magic pill that we could take and wake up rich the next morning. Oh to have that kind of power! Wouldn’t it be nice to finally figure out how to create instant wealth, go to bed hoping and wake up celebrating?

Well, some dreams were meant to always be fantasies (but only the fantastical ones—so keep dreaming big otherwise!). In the meantime, let’s talk about real possibility and wealth opportunity.

There’s Just One Magic Pill

money-pillThere is only one magic pill that will result in wealth. Action. Plain, simple, action. Effort. Doing something!

For all that we talk about everything else and the keys to wealth creation, action is the only thing that will result in wealth. Yes it is important to think big, plan big, and have a great attitude, but you still need to take action in order to succeed and be wealthy.

Why Not Mindset?

Did you expect me to say that mindset was the only magic pill for creating wealth? Are you surprised I said action instead?

You could arguably say that mindset is ‘the’ magic pill in creating wealth. You could definitely make an argument for that. But really, even with mindset you still need to act. If you continue to think about creating wealth, but do nothing to start and continue the process, then you will still only be thinking about, but not be creating, wealth. No, at the end of the day if you are not willing to make an effort and take some action then you will not be wealthy.

You could argue that there are two magic pills for wealth creation—one being mindset, and the other being action. That I could get behind. You will not get anywhere without developing the right attitude towards wealth and money, the millionaire mindset; and you definitely will not develop wealth if you do not act upon it.

No person ever became wealthy for inaction. Every wealthy person—love them or hate them—took the initiative to act and build or maintain their wealth. Take wealthy actions today and every day, and no longer will you need to search for some unhealthy, unwealthy substitute prescription.

Dare To Be Rich!

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

The hardest part of achieving wealth and prosperity is getting started and committing to a course of ongoing action. So much of the time the reason that we find that hard to do is because negativity and cynicism is ingrained within us; the knee-jerk response to possibility is that it can’t be done, or is silly or ridiculous. We are so programmed toward cynicism that it is nearly impossible to overcome and actually believe in possibility by the time we are adults.

Strategic Daring

We’ve talked about a few ways to overcome this, from rewiring your subconscious and developing the Dare to Succeedmillionaire mindset to just plain ignoring the naysayers. Now, here’s another—fun—option. Dare yourself to succeed!

As humans we all love a good dare. We love to be dared and to prove the naysayers wrong. We love to throw it back in the faces of everyone who told us we wouldn’t or couldn’t. What better, sweeter victory is there than to prove everyone wrong who said you could never be prosperous and financially free? Who said you’d never be rich because wealth was only for the rich? As the saying goes, living well is the sweetest revenge….

Dare Your Little Voice

This same strategy works for that nagging little voice inside of you that doesn’t believe in you either. That side of yourself that you never liked, that is always talking you out of trying to achieve true wealth and financial freedom. Show that voice who’s boss! The next time it “dares” you to try it, take that dare, and dare to succeed!

If you just can’t muster the confidence (yet) to make a real run at wealth, get started in whatever way you can. Dare yourself to go on the most profitable adventure you’ve ever taken, and find out just how daring and successful you can be!

Get Over Your Guilt!

Friday, January 18th, 2008

There are many things that hold people back from pursuing wealth creation successfully. And there is a quite common thread among those who do not move ahead with wealth creation strategies. What you might find surprising, though, is that the most common hold-backs for people in creating wealth often have nothing to do with things like education, skill, financial knowledge, or access to money. The big reasons that people do not commit to wealth creation usually have more to do with issues of mindset.

Wealth Creation Success

That probably is not surprising to regular readers of this blog. We’ve said it before, repeatedly. As Jamie McIntyre says at 21st Century Academy, the millionaire’s mindset is 80% responsible for wealth creation success. Strategy accounts for a mere 20%.

A lot of people who come to our wealth creation programs looking for a better life are surprised to find that one of those emotions that hold a very large number of people back from making money and enjoying financial wealth is guilt. But why in the world would you ever feel guilty about pursuing a better way of life? About making money and creating wealth to give yourself, your family, friends, and loved ones a better life?

Guilt About Creating Wealth

There is no good reason why you should feel guilty about creating wealth. Wealth creation does not make you greedy or selfish. But these are the things that people associate with riches and wealth. Money has gotten a bad reputation in this world, thanks to a handful of shady characters who happen to be rich.

The guilt that is associated with wealth creation comes from a lifetime of ingrained learning. We learn that honesty and respect are earned by working hard and that money perverts people. We learn that the wealthy are selfish and untrustworthy. We learn that money is dirty and we use that as justification to living lean and working to get nowhere.

Terms Of Wealth Creation

Guilt, in almost any situation, is a truly useless emotion. This is especially true in terms of wealth creation because it is simply untrue. There is no shame in being better, in living easier, in giving and helping others. There is no reason you have to prostitute your morals to build wealth. Purging yourself of feelings of guilt now will allow you to move forward in wealth creation and start developing the true mindset of a millionaire. If you hope to succeed at wealth creation, if you are committed to making money to better your life, let go of guilt now and stop letting it control your financial future!
