Needed: Abundance Mentality

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

Let’s be clear. Although there are two types of mentality, there is only one that you want. Need!

Abundance Versus Scarcity Mentality

We discussed the difference between the two last week. You can go back to our post about the Abundance Mentality if you need a review or definition.

gold-unlimited1Now, many people mistakenly think that a scarcity mentality (in which they believe wealth is limited, finite, and there is not enough to go around) is the way to go. They figure that there is only so much wealth in the world, and so they have to grab as much as they can for themselves in order to be wealthy. Their success depends on your failure. What a sad, sad way to live!

If you understand the abundance mentality—and the Law of Attraction and wealth creation in general—then you understand this is entirely counterproductive. There is more than enough wealth to go around. New wealth is created each and every day. More would be created if people stopped living with a scarcity mentality and started believing in the wealth of life!

Breaking Down The Abundance Mentality

It’s all very simple, really (we like simple wealth creation, don’t we?). If you focus your mindset and energy in want and limitation, guess what you will have? Exactly. Want and limits.

If you focus your mindset and energy in abundance and wealth and positivity, guess what you will have? Good job, you’ve been listening! Abundance, wealth, and a life of positivity!

I have to admit that there are a relatively select few who have managed to make money and still maintain a scarcity mentality. Look at the statistics, though, and you’ll see just how few that has been. Considering that most people are subscribed to the scarcity mentality, I think it’s safe to say that that is a major reason why 96% end up dead or broke or relying on the government by the age of retirement…..all that aside, just think about this: how do you want to live when your wealth arrives?

Power In Numbers

Friday, June 12th, 2009

There are power in numbers in wealth creation; not just power in financial numbers or dollar figures, but power in “people” numbers, too.

You’re Not Alone

Although we tend to often think of creating wealth as an independent venture, it is actually a collaborative undertaking. Yes, many parts of it and the majority of the work is independent, but if you think about it this is not something you are doing on your own. The fact that you are here reading this blog proves otherwise.

And what of those wealth creation resources? The books, articles, seminars, and courses. Who wrote those? People. Yes, people need people, which is the way it should be. We’re here to help each other succeed and then to pay it forward to the next person. Not a bad world to be living in, huh?

Give And Take

This scenario does require that you give back to the larger wealth creation community, but look at all that you get from it.

• You get the advantage of knowledge of people who have succeeded in doing just what you want to do.
• You get a system of support from people who enjoy helping others and who want to see you succeed.
• You build networks that will last a lifetime (trust me—this happens!).
• You get a place to turn when you’re not sure what to do next.
• You get access to all manner of excellent wealth creation resources.
• You get to capture the power of the Law of Attraction and surround yourself with like-minded people, multiplying that power.

Clearly there is great power in numbers, and you will find it much easier and more enjoyable to build wealth if you capitalize on that power. Everything good that you have done in life has involved other people, and this should be no different. Share the experience and harness one of the greatest powers that we have on this earth!

A ‘Simple’ Reminder

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about this, so it’s about time for a reminder (unless you’re new here, and in that case welcome!). The topic? The simplicity of wealth creation.

That’s So Simple!

“That’s so simple!”

mindIt’s what I hear time and again when I talk to people about what it takes to create wealth. They want to know the key, and I tell them—creating wealth is a simple matter of changing your mindset to one of positivity. If you want to be rich, you have to change your attitude and develop the millionaire mindset. You need to capitalize the Law of Attraction and attract positivity and success and money to you.

Simple, right? It really is.

You, Me, Everyone

Creating wealth and achieving financial freedom really is simple. It’s not a matter of how well educated you are or what you were given or how and where you grew up; it’s a matter of setting your mind to the task, focusing on positive wealth and what money can do for you, and stopping your negative, destructive ways of thinking (even those you don’t recognize you have).

I do not make this stuff up, folks. Absolutely every wealth expert will say the same thing: mindset and attitude are the keys to wealth creation. From historical figures like Wallace Wattles and Napoleon Hill to today’s experts like [Name Withheld], John Demartini, Anthony Robbins, and many more…this is the one thing they all agree on. Therefore, if you can develop that mindset, you can be rich and prosperous!

Something else you should note that is worthy of a reminder is that it does not take anything special to be able to do this—just a brain, and you all have that. Everyone has the potential to be rich, you just have to start developing that key wealthy mindset in earnest. Good news, and a great future ahead for you!

A Little Action Goes A Long Way

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

A little action goes a long way. It’s true in pretty much anything in life, and it’s true in wealth creation.

Overthinking The Process

We get so caught up in our thoughts sometimes that we can’t get out of our own way to get started building wealth. We dream big and hope big, and we really should, but we look at the point we are now in comparison to where we hope to go and get entirely overwhelmed. We flounder for a start not knowing what to do first. This is what people are saying all the time, and so wealth creation remains something that does not succeed—that thing in your life that you are continually spinning your wheels doing.

Overcoming Overthinking

wheel-in-motionHow do you overcome this, then? The solution (like wealth creation) is simple. As Nike would say,

Just Do It!

Just do it. Just do something related to wealth creation. Anything positive; any action. Just take one action and see what comes of it.

It is surprising how that one simple step—doing something, taking one simple action—can be motivating. It’s all you need to set the wheels in motion.

What the motion is almost doesn’t matter (so long as you are not doing something counterproductive or negative). It’s the action and momentum that you are trying to initiate. The rest will follow once you’ve set that precedent of actually doing something about your situation instead of just thinking about it.

Once you set the wheels in motion what you will find is that sense of enjoyment and accomplishment, and you’ll want to continue that because it feels good to be getting something working in your favor. You’ll be able to capitalize the Law of Attraction and draw more positive action to you and your efforts. Your mind will begin to clear simply from the sense of relief that you get from acting on your situation and then you will be able to focus more and construct the plans and visions for your financial future.

It only takes one simple action to motivate you to do more. Take the initiative. Do one simple thing today and just see how good that can feel.

Abundance Mentality: Do You Have It?

Monday, June 1st, 2009

The term “abundance mentality” is credited to author Stephen Covey, although it appears in many, many other places since it has been popularized in wealth and success circles. It is another way of describing the same type of mindset that success masters like Napoleon Hill and Wallace Wattles, [Name Withheld], and many other modern success communicators illustrated. The good news is, it’s not overly difficult to have, as long as you can keep focused on the fact that you want the abundance mentality.

Plenty To Go Around

abundance-mentalityHere is a good basic summary of the abundance mentality, courtesy of Wikipedia:

“…a person believes there are enough resources and success to share with others…It is commonly contrasted with the scarcity mindset, which is founded on the idea that, given a finite amount of resources, a person must hoard their belongings and protect them from others. Individuals with an abundance mentality are supposed to be able to celebrate the success of others rather than be threatened by it.”

If you think of this mindset in terms of creating wealth, it’s easy to see how developing an abundance mentality will be more beneficial than maintaining its opposite, the “Scarcity Mindset”. Apply it to the Law of Attraction and think about what you will be drawing to you—abundance, success, mutual respect and goodwill. Consider applying its opposite, and I fear to think how much struggle you’ll be inviting into your life!

Taking Sides

It’s not hard to figure out how people come to live life in the scarcity mindset, but it is a sad state of affairs. Think how much happier we would all be if we all believed in the abundance mindset, and all lived life with a positive and generous spirit. That’s the world I want to be living in—and so it’s the world I work hard to create!
