The Responsibility Of Reality Creation

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

There are a few reasons why people tend not to embrace the idea that they can create their own reality. One of them is because we seem to be flooded with skepticism in our lives and our default setting is to doubt. You have to work hard to change that around and approach life from a positive angle, wherein possibility is your default belief.

Another reason is because believing that you can create your own reality adds something that a lot of people do not want—personal responsibility.

Your Life Is Your Own

accomplishmentIt should excite you to know that your life is your own and you are in control of it. It should be a relief that you can choose how you will deal with life and your choices will create the reality that you want. Too many people, however, don’t like to hear that, because with choice comes responsibility; and there is just an abundance of people in the world who don’t want to take responsibility for their life—they want it to be taken care of for them. They want to be victims and martyrs and be able to blame someone else for their situation. But you can’t have it both ways—you can’t create your own reality, believe in creating your own reality, and still blame someone else for the outcome.

Empowering Wealth Creation & Success

If you are going to be wealthy and successful, and live financially free, you have to create that wealth. And that means you have to create your reality, which in turn means you have to take responsibility for your life. Considering the state of affairs in the world, it’s not too hard to understand why people don’t do this, but I promise you that when you do take responsibility and begin creating your own reality and wealth, you will enjoy life more than you ever have before. You’ll feel the sense of possibility, accomplishment, and freedom that you have wanted—and you’ll know that, above all else, because you are one of the few with a default setting of positivity and possibility, and one of the few who understand that personal responsibility is empowerment and not burden, that you can do and have anything you set your mind to.

How Will You Live When Wealth Arrives?

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

As I mentioned at the end of the last post, some people are able to make a significant amount of money off the backs of others by capitalizing on the scarcity mentality; not most, as the statistics prove. The only thing the scarcity mentality gets most people is a very limited income and lifestyle, and a bad attitude to boot.

A Choice To Make

As it appears, you have a choice to make—you can create prosperous, sustainable wealth by embracing an abundance mentality, or you can scratch your way to the top and hope that you are one of the “lucky” (?) few who actually build wealth that way. Let’s look at the reality of either choice:

choicesized1• The scarcity mentality method of building wealth requires that you will live in a state of financial paranoia of sorts—always thinking someone else is trying to get what is yours, that you have to stash and hide wealth so that it might not be taken by another, and that you have to grab as much as you can as fast as you can and continually hope someone else is left in want so that you can collect the amount of money that you feel necessary to be wealthy. Be warned, though, with this attitude there will probably never be enough.

• The abundance mentality method of wealth building requires that you live with a positive attitude, enjoying life each and every day, be thankful for others and always capitalize on what is good in your life. You do not live in fear because you know wealth is not limited, and you can create it right alongside of others. You are able to engage in enlightening and useful conversation about wealth creation with other people because you do not have to be afraid that they might ferret out your trade secrets and you share your knowledge, enjoying the feeling of helping others get ahead, too.

So I ask you now—which sounds like the better life to you?

Who Will You Be When You Arrive At Wealth?

The path you choose determines the type of person you will be throughout the wealth-building phase of your life and for all the days after. Remember this life is not a dress rehearsal, it’s the real thing. Enjoy every possible minute of it, and feel good about the person that you are and have been when your wealth arrives.

Help Yourself By Helping Others

Monday, April 13th, 2009

I’m not a big believer in keeping things to myself. I believe in sharing the knowledge that I have and in helping others as I’ve been helped (because none of us are in this alone—and we all need/have had help to get us where we are!). What I’ve come to learn over the years is that by helping others, I’ve also helped myself tremendously. That may sound a little selfish, as if I’d only offered my help for my own benefit, but I assure you that was never the case. The reward that I’ve received through this kind of community effort has been a wonderful by-product.

Learn From Each Other

One of the biggest rewards that I’ve enjoyed by sharing my knowledge and journey with others is what I’ve learned from others. This kind of learning comes in so many forms, from so many (often unexpected) places. It’s the best kind of learning, too, because it is so enjoyable.

What I’ve found is that when you share your knowledge and thoughts, others do the same. This is why social networking has exploded over the last couple of years. People want to be a part of a community, and want to make connections with others. What comes of that insight sharing is exposure to more thoughts, ideas, educations, and information than you knew were out there. You learn new ways to look at things, new ways to deal with things, and new tools and resources to do it with.

Share Of Yourself

I encourage all of you to share everything that you are learning in wealth creation, for the dual benefit of paying it forward and helping another, and the wonderful experience of reaping the rewards of that connection and selflessness. A wealth education alone is an information-packed resource, but one shared with others is an insightful and abundant experience the likes of which there is no comparison for.

Forgive Yourself Your Sins

Sunday, April 12th, 2009

Among Christians, this is the Easter season, a time for forgiveness and forbearance. This is a holiday celebrated by many all over the world, even among the less religious. Practicing or no, religious or no, there is something that you can capture of this spirit to apply to your own success and empowerment, and wealth creation.

Forget The “Sins” Of The Past

Forget the financial “sins” and mistakes of the past. You are human. We all make mistakes. Whatever decisions you have made prior to now are done and over with, finished. All that is left is for you to learn from them where it’s appropriate and to move forward to a new and better financial life. Accept that to err is Future Financial Freedomhuman and is okay. Accept that a few financial missteps (or even many) do not make you a bad person, just a person, and that you deserve to forgive yourself those missteps and to live a full, abundant life.

Put Your Energy In The Future

It is important to stop living in the past, because when we do that we spend a great lot of our energy in the past. That is time and energy we cannot get back, and so is useless, wasted energy.

The only energy that can be of benefit to us is that which we are expending for the here and now and for the future. It is to your absolute benefit to maximize the potential of your energy expenditures and to focus them on productive, not counter-productive actions and activities.

I wish you all a very Happy and Healthy Easter holiday, regardless of your spiritual or religious convictions, and hope that you take to heart the lessons of the season. Forgive and let go of the past, make the most of your future, and live well in a balanced, content life of abundance and prosperity.
