Just Justification

All of those financial emotions, those attitudes and opinions about money and wealth and being rich—what are they? What are they really and why is it so important that you deal with your real, honest attitudes towards money?

Just Justification

You may not realize it now, but all of those things that people say, all of those emotions about money and being rich, they are all just justifications. Justifications for what? Justifications for poverty.

All of these statements:

  • “Money is evil”
  • “Money changes everything”
  • “There is more to life than money”
  • “I don’t need money to be happy”

And on and on….all of those are just excuses that people use to make themselves feel better about their lack of wealth (for a short, fleeting moment). They are all just denials of wealth that people use to make justify their lack of success with wealth.

Think about how often people will use statements like this, and then turn around and trade away all of their time—or nearly all of it—for a paycheck. They say that money is not the most important thing in life, and it’s not, but their lives are not showing that to be true. Their lives are centered around a job—paid slavery, really—and they have lost most control over it. And then there is no time left for what really is important.

There Are Things More Important Than Money

There are things that are much more important than money; your family, your health, your family’s health, time spent with your family, living your life enjoyably and comfortably, without the stress and associated ill-effects of it…these are all things more important than money. But you know as well as I that you cannot really achieve those ends without money. You cannot enjoy the freedom of time without having wealth so that you can get out of the rat-race and diminish your levels of financial stress. And that you certainly can do, by developing a mindset of abundance and positivity and ending your reliance on crutches like these. It may sound harsh, but it’s real and the best thing I can do for you is to be honest about how you can change your life.
