Wealth Creation Is Not A Race

Creating wealth is not a competition, and it’s not a race, either. You do not need to feel as if you are not doing it “right” because someone else’s outcome or progress is different from your own. This is a personal journey (one that is better when shared with others, but personal still) that has at its core you, so it doesn’t matter how much faster someone else might be getting there.

Go At Your Own Pace

It’s natural to want to race to the end of wealth creation. No one would blame you there, because everyone wants to wealthy-pacebe able to sit back and relax and enjoy the lifestyle that financial freedom and prosperity brings. We all have learned too well, though, that building wealth is a process that takes time, effort, and patience, and there is no way to get rich quick.

All that matters is that you stay steady and do reach your goals. Go at your own pace, take pride and joy in the fact that you are building a better life for yourself and those who matter to you, and ease up on yourself—because when you struggle trying to match someone else’s pace that doesn’t really fit into your life, all you do is stress and overwhelm yourself, and probably do more harm than good.

Keep Focus Where It Matters

You do not need new stresses and distractions to add to your to do list. We all have enough of those. What you need is to be able to focus on the things that are most important, that serve you well. Decide what those things are and then go after them with determination and confidence. You’ll be making more progress along the way than you will probably realise, and you will be building not only wealth, but wealth that is sustainable and built upon a strong foundation—wealth to last a lifetime!

[...] Wealth creation is a lot about dreaming—and living out those dreams. A lot of people don’t like to hear it put that way, because we’ve become conditioned to believe that dreaming is fruitless and fanciful. For a lot of people that is true, simply because they do not have enough faith in themselves, and therefore in their dreams, to live out their life vision. [...]
