Grow, Manage and Protect
The key to building wealth successfully is to grow your wealth, manage it effectively and guard it with your life. A study in Sports Illustrated, an American magazine, reports that no more than five years following retirement, sixty percent of the high-paid players in the NBA are broke. Likewise, just two years after retirement from the NFL, as many as eighty percent of players are close to bankruptcy. You are probably wondering how some people can be paid seven-figure salaries and still end up with not more than a penny to their name.
The reason behind such economic confusion comes from the inability to understand money management and the lack of the here-and-now way of thinking. Here is a though to consider, there is actually more to creating wealth than simply earning money.
All too often, life gets hectic and you find yourself being pulled in what seems like a thousand different directions. Unfortunately, more often than not, we find ourselves getting busier and busier the harder we try to build wealth. It is critical that you understand what to do with your money in order to create the most lucrative assets and hold on to them.
It is vital that you know how to manage the money you make and know how to protect it so it does not get away from you. You need to take the time to research all of the cash flow opportunities that are available to you. If you choose to live a lavish lifestyle, spending money as soon as you get it under the impression that it will be there forever, it may in fact be gone sooner than you think. On the other hand, if you save a certain percentage of your income each and every month, invest wisely and live well within your means, then you stand a greater chance of retiring comfortably and having something to leave your family when you are gone.

That’s a great example used Sean and is a great example of why we all need to manage our money and wealth.
We sometimes get accustomed to living a certain lifestyle and when there are changes we do not always change. This leaves us in a situation like sports stars who continue to try and live the lavish lifestyle on a reduce income or retirement savings. The earlier one starts to take control of their wealth, the less pressure will be felt in the later years or tougher times.
