You might recall a while back on this blog a discussion that we had about Rush Limbaugh. Rush had said in an interview that he refused to participate in recession. He understood recession to be an economic occurrence that is ruled by emotion, and made his choice to remain positive and not be dragged down by what others (such as the media) say that he is “supposed” to be feeling.

You Can Refuse Your Invitation, Too

You , too, can refuse your invitation to participate in financial stress—not only in recession, but in perceived poverty and financial struggle as well (I don’t actually like the word poverty, it’s too strong for most people’s situations, but it gets the point across…). Without your permission, no one can make you to feel poor or inferior. There is no one definition of wealth by dollar figure or by asset accumulation. You are wealthy when you believe you are wealthy. It’s that pesky mindset thing again.

A Wealthy, Healthy Mind

You are only “poor” if you think you are poor. Each and every person has wealth and value in their lives. Not every person can see that, though. Too many people can only focus on what they do not have. That, by the way, goes just as much for people with huge bank accounts as it does for people with small ones.

If you want to be wealthy, decide that you are—now. Today. Be wealthy, do what wealthy people do, and have the things you want as a result.

Attract More Wealth

You have wealth in your life now. You are not a “poor” person. You are a person who is happy, positive, and content. With that behind you, you are going to accomplish great acts of personal prosperity, You are going to attract more wealth to you, build wealth to your desired levels (and probably beyond, you’ll be so good at it), and share your experience to the benefit of others. You will refuse to accept that you have to participate in poverty, because from this point forward, you now know that that is an option that you simply do not have to choose.
