Nine To Five Limits
There are distinct limits to living a life based on a nine to five job. Recognizing those limits is quite motivational in building a better life for you. After all, you need a reason to make a major life change, don’t you?
Income Limits
Even if you have a high-paying nine to five job, you are limited as to the amount of money that you will make at it; your income is essentially capped. Yes you can work longer hours, but there is still only so far that you can stretch that to increase your income. True wealth is self-sustaining and unlimited in potential. A salary or hourly income based on a nine to five job is not that at all.
Life Limits
If the only way for you to make money and increase that income is to work longer hours, then you are seriously limiting your lifestyle. As if 40 hours per week weren’t enough, now people are working upwards of 50 just to “make ends meet”—never mind get ahead and create wealth! Jobs are overtaking lives at an alarming rate. Coworkers and bosses know these employees better than their children and spouses. Life just isn’t fun or fulfilling any more. Very sadly, many relationships break down all because one or the other party (or both) are overworking themselves in an effort to get the family ahead.
This is not even taking into account the lack of leisure time and inability to live a desired lifestyle. You should be able to choose how you spend the majority of your days and hours—it should not be dictated by an insane work schedule!
Better Ways, Better Days
Your life does not need to be limited this way. There are ways to make money, increase wealth, and build sustainable streams of income that require only a fraction of your time and attention. That leaves you open to build the lifestyle you want and maintain those all-important relationships—our very reasons for being here. You can start building that stream based on your current income, but you cannot grow it in any significant way by maintaining a nine to five (or longer) job until you retire (or die as is the so unfortunate case for so many people).
