Your Floor Plan And Your Health

Your house has an orientation and your floor plan can be divided up into directional quadrants, which can become very meaningful from a feng shui perspective. Not every house is a perfect square or rectangle in shape, but often some variation of the square or rectangle. And when there is a missing or partially missing quadrant, that actual direction can translate as a weakness to any of the family members.

Northwest is associated with the head and lungs. So if a house were missing the Northwest quadrant, then occupants could suffer from headaches, respiratory ailments, allergies, and any number of health disturbances in those parts of the body.

North is associated with the kidneys, blood, circulation, glands in general and the ears.

Northeast is associated with the bones and muscles, particularly the hands and fingers.

East is connected with the feet, throat, nervous system and liver.

Southeast is associated with the lower part of the body, including low back and legs.

South represents the eyes and heart.

Southwest is associated with the abdominal area, including digestion, elimination, reprodutive area and spleen.

The West direction is symbolic of the teeth, mouth, jaw, and chest muscles.

If any section of your house is missing, the real direction within the floor plan can reveal areas of bodily weaknesses just listed. As well, if there were some kind of chronic dilapidation going on in a certain direction of the house, that too could trigger health problems associated with the direction.

In order to know where these real directions are located, you need to take an accurate compass reading outside your house to determine the real compass orientation. Then, divide up a floor plan sketch of your home (to scale drawing) in equal thirds, like a tic-tac-toe square. This will show you where the directional quadrants are and how much space they occupy within your floor plan.
