How To Build Wealth:  Slowly Or Quickly?

Ask some market gurus and you are sure to be told that building wealth quickly is a sure sign that the bottom will fall out.  Ask them about building wealth slowly out of your paycheck over time and they will tell you that this is a sure way to make things work.  What is the goal that you have?  For most people the goal can't be made quickly because they don't have a lot out of their paycheck to invest.  Yet, putting away a small amount of money can help to make you a pile of wealth with little damage to the lifestyle that you are living.  It is up to you to decide the real course for making this happen, still.

A Slow Method?

If you are looking to have wealth that has been built by a modest investment monthly and grows over time, then you do have options.  For one, if you simply put away about $500 every month into a diversified investment account, then you could be making a good profit.  If the stock market gives you back just ten percent of that then you would have over $100,000 after the first ten years and $380,000 over twenty years.  The benefit of comes in after thirty years where you would have well over a million dollars in your account.

Adding More Helps

The more that you can tuck away in an investment account, means that you will be able to develop more of a wealth after the same amount of time.  You can easily make substantially more with just a small increase in that $500 even.  Yet, what you should be doing is look at ways to make that extra money.  For some, creating wealth means gaining some method of bringing more money in.  For example, you may dabble in real estate to help you to build your wealth.  Or, start your own business.

Through these methods of wealth creation, you will slowly, but surely add value to your wealth and over time you could end up with a good amount of money put aside for anything that you want to do.  The more risk you are willing to take, the more intense the payoff could be and the faster.  But, for those that want to build wealth slowly, time is the best wealth builder for the person that can put away a chunk of money each month.
