Many web users are still under the false impression that you need to spend money to start making money online. The notion that you need a working website, some definite product or service to sell, and a good measure of marketing skill to make a profit with the web is not the whole picture. In fact, though it may seem odd to many of you, there are some great ways to start making money online without spending a single penny or having a web domain. However, in order to find those opportunities, you will need to know the difference between good offers and those that are not so good.

If you are familiar with many of the online offers that are floating around the internet, then you know about those sites that deal in so-called infoproducts (ebooks, special reports, newsletters, etc.), you do work for like take surveys or open emails. Yet, catch is that you aren't paid in cash but rather in points or special offers, and generally just about every type of internet marketing product and service imaginable. Naturally, you want to avoid these types of offers if you can. Instead, you want those that really have something to offer. You want to be making money online not points after all!

So what are the characteristics of a premium gig to get the cash that you need? Better still, what are good qualities of a legitimate online opportunity that will cost you nothing? (Bear in mind that many of ways for making money online come in the form of business models that you implement in multiple ways depending upon the type of company it is you choose.)

They should pay in cash rather than resorting to point systems that are ultimately meaningless or offer you the opportunity to participate in some contest for the chance to win cash prizes.
You are not required to have a website or to set one up and you do not have to have products or services to sell.
You will not be required to "hard-sell" another parties products and services.
Opportunity is not a just another elaborate marketing campaign to support or promote the products of an internet marketer.
You will be fairly compensated for the time you spend working.

Don't lose track of these points as you search for these moneymaking opportunities. It is crucial to have a sound idea about what it is you are looking for in a market where bad ideas can be found at every turn or click of the mouse. You want making money to be a pleasure and not a big pain!
