An Illinois company is currently finalizing development of a recently patented interactive futures exchange concept that uses everyday issues and events as the underlying commodity contract to be traded. These commodities are traded via a platform that utilizes continuous polling and streaming media to help each PT (Perception Trader) make qualified decisions based on their opinions and perceptions on current information 24 hours a day. Perception Capital, Inc. a small business headquartered in Elgin, reports that these commodities do not represent a physical commodity and have no innate financial value but instead represent a stated proposition or issue that has only degrees, distinctions, or opinions of resolution. This allows a price to be arbitrarily set for trading. Perception Traders have the opportunity to change their position in a given commodity based on their opinions of many possible or real independent events, factors or activities so that should any possibly or actually occur, they would buy/sell for a favorable outcome.

A central clearing house will be responsible to "poll" active traders to seek their opinions and tabulate results for all to see and act upon accordingly. The clearing house will settle and record all trades, track demographic data, and collaborate with individual traders on new and interesting commodity contracts. "All of these activities can leverage this dynamic platform and patented concept utilizing all known media tools via the Internet,'' President Mike Vinarsky says.

"There has been a lot of buzz lately regarding this concept as it came to light last year with what the Pentagon and DARPA were trying to do with the Policy Analysis Market. Perception trading is the most dynamic platform that integrates the collective thoughts, concepts, ideas, and opinions of thousands of users that have an interest both personal and financial. People want to debate over issues with which they are passionate in their own hometown, county, state, and country. They also perceive information differently when it flows from sources such as the work place, family, general media and others that tend to stimulate the need for healthy debate on issues that are political, social, financial, local, sports related or of a general nature. Perception Trading opens that door to individuals or companies who want to present new products to the market and need new and dynamic methods to state their bias while listening (via polling data and changing market prices) to those that don't feel the same," Vinarsky says.

Currently there are several sites that claim to capture the spirit of of the Perception Trade concept but do not hold the intellectual property that Perception Capital has claimed. Perception Capital, Inc states that it currently is unable to accept legal tender but is utilizing pseudo dollars that will tie into major incentives for all traders.

"We are very excited at the prospects that this new interactive trading platform presents as any of the issued contracts can provide a greater advance or understanding of the issue itself.
