The New Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Visa Signature Card

Airline credit cards have become the rage with people who are looking to combine purchase rewards with travel around the world. After experiencing an extreme slowdown after the tragedy of Sept 11, 2001, travel has rebounded to record levels. Now people are looking to cash in on free travel by using their credit card purchases to get them airline tickets.

Southwest Airlines, one of the most popular discount airlines, has teamed up with Chase to provide you with the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Visa Signature Card. The card rewards your purchases with roundtrip airfare.

You get two reward dollars for ever dollar you spend on Southwest Airlines. You get one reward dollar for every dollar you spend on other purchases. Other airline credit cards generally require at least $25,000 of spending to get roundtrip airfare but, with the Southwest Airlines credit card, it only takes 19,200 reward dollars to get your roundtrip ticket.

Another positive aspect of the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Visa Signature Card is the annual fee. While most major airline signature cards charge an annual fee anywhere from $60 to $135, the Southwest Airlines card just charges an annual fee of $59.

The Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards Visa Signature Card has online account management, statements that are downloadable to your favorite financial software and generous credit line of up to $100,000.
